Hello! I’m Alyssa.
I was born and raised in Southern California, in the suburbs of Los Angeles. I graduated in 2011 from the University of Southern California, where I majored in English with an emphasis in creative writing. When I’m not spending time with my cat and parrot, I enjoy hiking in the woods, kayaking, and playing the ukulele.
I first realized my passion for helping others while working as an English tutor at a local community college. During my 7 year tenure, I learned how to mentor and encourage others while providing feedback and guidance on the process of planning, writing, and editing essays. Teaching continues to be a passion of mine, and when I can, I like to work with students to help them develop and refine their college admissions essays.
At Pulsiam, I worked closely with team members to develop software documentation, including developing release notes and video tutorials. I was responsible for driving marketing and documentation initiatives and managing large, company-wide projects. My time at Pulsiam gave me the opportunity to develop a broad skill set. I learned to think on my feet and developed a true passion for problem solving.
At Microsoft, I am responsible for creating engaging animated training videos, driving key strategic initiatives, and developing internal processes. I have had the opportunity to work with people and teams around the world, developing content for a world-wide audience. I am proud to have helped shape, from the ground up, my team’s processes for developing content, working with stakeholders, and tracking our program’s reach.
My goals are to support those around me to accomplish our shared objectives, develop engaging educational content, and continue growing and expanding my skills.
